Top executives discuss their predictions for the ABL and factoring industries in 2009.

Charles Darwin said, “It is not the strongest of the species that survives, nor the most intelligent that survives. It is the one that is the most adaptable to change.”

Darwinian evolution in ABL means that, after years of abundant opportunity for a multitude of players and financing structures, the business climate is now like a Scandinavian winter - long, dark and cold. Some of the strongest and even smartest financial institutions are gone. With fewer lenders, borrower demand on healthy survivors is tremendous.

The successful 20+ year history of Access Capital has come not by remaining static, but through the continued refinement, enhancement and reinvention of our business model. The challenges posed in the year to come will again require great change. Our long experience managing change and our deep pool of both human and capital resources enables us to embrace the current climate and again produce vintage results in 2009.
